A great benefit of being an apprentice at Jones Family Farms is the on-farm apprentice housing. This house is used exclusively for the apprentices and the apprenticeship director. It is great to be able to live right on the farm. Not only is it a quick drive (or walk!) to work, but you also get to enjoy the beauty of the farm in the evening after work  and in the early mornings.

Here is a little “house tour” of the apprentice house at the farm.

The large wrap-around glass porch is great for relaxing!

The large kitchen has plenty of cupboard and counter space.

The small sitting room has a TV and overlooks the backyard.

The dining room also has a bookcase with many books and magazines to read.

There is a laundry room off of the kitchen.

The apprentices share a bathroom downstairs in the house. The apprenticeship director has her own “mini apartment” in the house, with a bathroom, bedroom, and living room. Everyone shares the kitchen and laundry room.

The upstairs bedroom has a bed, bookcase, desk, night stand, set of 8 drawers, and a closet.

The downstairs bedroom has a bed, night stand, bookcase, desk, set of 6 drawers, and a closet.

The window at the top of the stairs offers a great view of Pumpkin Seed Hill. It is a great spot to sit and enjoy the sights.
